Join us for a unique and heartfelt exhibit that explores the deeply personal journey of a mother and her son as they navigate the grief of losing a loved one through the healing power of art.

In October 2015, Ruth Quimby’s daughter, Ranae, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42. The overwhelming sorrow of her loss left Ruth and her son, Robert D. Quimby, grappling with an emotional landscape that was difficult to navigate. Yet, in the midst of their grief, they each turned to art as a means to process their emotions, find comfort, and ultimately begin the path toward healing.

This exhibit brings to life the intimate stories of Ruth and Robert’s individual artistic journeys. In a world where grief can feel isolating, art serves as a reminder that healing is possible—and that through love, creativity, and the expression of emotion, one can emerge from the darkness into the light.
