2019 MENTORING CLASSES
Community Connections and Prairie Arts Center collaborate for this exciting program. Sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank. The art classes focus on new mediums with projects that can be created together by adult and child. The first class taught by PAC Executive Director, Holly Carlini, focuses on clay animal masks. Inspired by nature, each mentoring pair creates masks that resemble real life creatures. The second class, taught by artist Tim O'Neill, introduced the group to textiles with Shibori dying fabrics. They create textures, colors and fold fabrics before dipping them in dyes. June 20th during the last class, the group will finish the series with printmaking. The PAC is fortunate to have community support in the arts. The contributions of Wells Fargo Bank over the last several years, allow art and culture to enhance the well-being of our community.
